This past Sunday, Dennis Stone’s dear family and friends organized a full day’s worth of celebrations to commemorate his life and legacy.
Our friend Ann generously invited us to stay at her Dartmouth alumni association’s cabin near Mary Lake, so TBO and I hit the road with the Shibas and spent a gorgeous weekend in the Lake Tahoe area.
Instead of doing the usual SFR Cloverdale Double Brevet Weekend (where you choose between riding a 300/200k or 200/200k combo) — TBO and I opted to tag along with Pudu (and his one-armed stuffed monkey sidekick), Kimber and John Guzik for a mellow, beer-infused ride with lots of stops at fine breweries.
