Paris

The last time I’d been to Paris was over a decade ago, when I was a single woman and explored just a sliver of the city on a borrowed step-through bicycle. I consider myself quite lucky that I was able to return this time many years later with my husband and for a very special cycling event. The best way to see the City of Lights is from behind the handlebars of a bicycle, so TBO and I rented a pair from the one of the ubiquitous VĂ©lib’ stations that are scattered throughout its streets. Crisscrossing the Seine over the course of three days, we led ourselves on a beautiful 40-mile historic and culinary tour all throughout Paris, Versailles and St. Quentin-en-Yvelines.
