Randonneur Ride Report: Mt. Charlie Meander

I love riding around Santa Cruz, as most of the roads are new to me; I think 90% of today’s 63-mile ride was heretofore unexplored territory. Randonneur Ride Report: SF-Tunitas Creek-Woodside-Millbrae BART

TBO, Daniel and myself took a nice jaunt down the Peninsula today with this permanent; I chose this route as I wanted to check out the new Devil’s Slide multi-use path and it didn’t disappoint — the views are stunning! Daniel had to take off at Woodside, and we finished off our ride on Canada Road to Millbrae BART.

75 miles / 4500ft. climbing (We tacked on an extra 10 miles commuting to the start and home.)

Randonneur Ride Report: South Bay Sashay 215k

Leave it to me to pick a hot and windy Saturday to ride 215 kilometers in the South Bay! Starting in Fremont, we rode down to Gilroy, looped around the other side of the bay for a control in Woodside, then crossed the Dumbarton Bridge back to where we began. I managed to convince TBO to ride with me again — mostly because he’s excited about his brand-spanking new Breadwinner “Arbor Lodge” porteur bike and was keen to put some miles on it.
